As we can all clearly recall, one of George W. Bush's more popular expressions (often quoted out of context) is "make the pie higher". While on the surface, this quote seems bizarre, the financial reality it describes is down home common sense. Indeed, I think "make the pie higher" almost rises to the level of a proverb.
Someone or other known as "W Isaac Carroll" commissioned me a while back to produce a visual representation of this proverb. To be quite honest, I stalled.... I stalled for over a month. The idea of making the current president appear anything less than buffoonish is totally abhorrent to any modern cartoonist. Eventually, I happened upon a way of doing so that, I think, preserves my hip façade. It's rather longer than I anticipated, but quite good.
